I was not a great fan of the Beatles, - wrong generation I guess. But now as I age (a little) I think, "what a sweet young man' And Yesterdays are very dear to me....
I agree with photowannabe, Yesterdays are indeed growing more important to me with each passing day! Lovely post, thank you! Hope your new year is off to a great start!
Wonderful post! I liked the Beatles, but I must confess that they were about the only pop singers I did. I didn´t like the " Stones". Well anyway it´s been a long time... Thanks for your visit to my "Yesterday...".
Wishing you a late Happy Birthday, and now a lovely year ahead. How blessed we are by your photography and your writing. Thank you. Seeing your decorations was delightful.
It is Epiphany. I can probably put the tree and the rest of the tangible Christmas away now.
We have an Epiphany great grand baby. She is two years old today and may be joined by a new baby sister. Two Epiphany babies would be amazing. Her mother's doctor says "Any time now."
Great songwriting and lovely words. Interesting clip. Thanks to Willo whose comment reminded me to take my decorations down, with just enough time before midnight.
We were in college in Taiwan when the Beatles was at its height, "Let it be" is the song when we graduated and the song that Beatles disbanded. "Yesterday" had accompanied us in many nights in the College. It has more meaning for us now as we grow older.
I was a huge Beatles fan, especially in their early years. I remember my Dad not approving of their long hair--looking back, they looked very clean-cut in those early years compared to rock groups today, don't they? "Yesterday" has to be one of the most beautiful songs they ever wrote. Thanks for the day brightener!
Hello to all, - great to find so many who like this song, - Yesterday. It is poignant and nostalgic and all those other things that affect people who look back on yesterdays with affection. And I can't understand why I didn't care too much for the Beatles when they were such sweet young fellows at the beginning.
Thank you for visiting and wishing you all a wonderful year.

Yesterday was a terrific song, I think. Some yesterdays were better than others and some gain increasing importance as I age. Nice post!
I liked The Beatles, though I was never a real fan. I did like the early stuff, and Yesterday is a beautiful song.
