The Letter is U
If you are looking for a fruit or veggie whose name starts with the letter U the pickings are pretty scarce on the ground.
However, in keeping with my theme this round I give you the Ugli Fruit
A cross between the grapefruit, the tangerine and the pulamo, looking rather like a grapefruit with an ill fitting overcoat, as I read in my ramblings.
More delicious than its name would lead you to believe!

Never knew of such a fruit. What a name and i hope I can taste it some day. It isn't available in Bangalore.

It's IS UGLY, and it does look like a grapefruit I should not eat!

Unique and Unusual! Have you tried one? I would take a recommendation before I tried it myself. ha! :-)
we have a citrus fruit also called ugly fruit, but doesn't look like yours,
I've seen those in stores here (in Florida) and we're fairly adventurous with foods, but haven't tried this one. Bought a pomelo once and it was almost all peel. I felt cheated.
