The letter is O which might stand for Octet, - of which I give you two examples....
The Schubert Octet D803 played
by an Israeli ensemble consisting of eight instruments,
which is, of course, an OCTET
and a musical rendition of the OCTET RULE
which will perhaps help us all understand chemical bonding
(never my strong subject I fear)
I understand it all has to do with the figure eight.

I listened to your first example and enjoyed it very much. I don't even want to try the second. If I said "Not my strong suit" that would be the greatest understatement the world has ever known!
I'll stick with the Schubert too Hildres - love it.

Lovely music, but my mind blanks when it comes to 'Chemistry'... but I sort of understand the analogy.
I've just looked a your previous post about Sir Simon Rattle with The Berlin Symphony Orchestra, he's a joy to behold when he's conducting. He was raised in Liverpool and attended a local college. I can even proudly say he, and his lovely family lived nearby our family home.
