Delightful mandolin post. After listening, I just had to go and find more of the Concerto for Mandolin. A lovely way to start my work day. Thanks for that Mum!! And happy knitting too. You are such an inspiration. XO

Beautiful header Hildred. I love sunflowers.
My son's father in law plays the mandolin like a professional and all the grandkids loved to hear him play for them.
So when my son's daughter was born she was named Amanda Lynn in honor of her Grandpa.
Photowannabe - wonderful play on words and for such a good cause. Grandpa must have been thrilled.
I have learned something new again. This is an instrument we don't often hear in classical music. I like the Vivaldi arrangement very much too.

Oh Hildred I had no idea the mandolin was ever used in classical music and that was beautiful. Thank you for teaching me something new and wonderful.
Its a beautiful instrument, and Vivaldi writes for it wonderfully. I inherited my Grandmother's mandolin but sadly it got lost many years ago during a house move.
