The letter is O
O is for the Ox-eyed Daisy
Humble and derided as a weed in many places, but still beautiful in its simplicity.
If it just wasn't so ubiquitous!!!
For more wonderful Os click here to visit ABC Wednesday, with thanks to

Is it ubiquity that makes a wildflower a weed? I like the Oxeye a lot, but maybe its because I actually don't see it all that often...there will probably be some left by the time we get back to Oregon, but I haven't seen it here.
Well Sallie there is always the Oleander which is supposed to be the most poisonous plant around, and it is quite treasured for its beauty, - I think the poor ox-eyed daisy grows so prolifically that it endangers pastures and grasses that are needed for other reasons, and that's why it is considered a weed. Sometimes I think we mirror the plant world, - take Cleopatra and the peasants.....
There's nothing "happier" than a field of these!

I like daisies. They grow wild all around here without any encouragement, and I know it is summer when they bloom.
I love them Hildred. I once scattered a packet of ox eye daisies on a piece of waste ground by my cottage and the effect was wonderful.
Fantastic shots of the beautiful daisies. Carver, ABC Wed. Team
I so love these daisies ~ wonderful photography for O ~ thanks ^_^
A truly beautiful presentation, ideal for this week's letter.
Beautiful - incredible to think it might be a weed. One of the loveliest spring sights.
Wild Daisies are so pleasing and look so happy!! Such a non fussy plant that it grows anywhere and everywhere!! Wish they could control themselves!! :)
My O - Open School
Daises are my favourite flowers, because they are modest, honest and simple. Thank you for showing them here! I hope you'll have a great day today! Thanks for your visit!

Lovely! They look like a field of sneezes to me, daisy type flowers really set off the allergies for me.
They are cheery to see though, I love them.
Have a good week ahead!
gorgeous daisies!
Though they grow in the wild, without them the wild would be boring.
Lovely flOwer, beautiful choice for O.
O is for...
You can never go wrong with daisies. They are beautiful and now I know them by a new name :).
I love ox-eye daisies. The fact that they are everywhere is really an advantage because, one on its own or merely two or three together would be lost in the grasses and other tall meadow flowers.
Oh wow, I never knew they are called ox-eyed daisy, all I know is that they are in daisy family. I have so many of these in my garden./
OUTSTANDING
Over and over again, I am always late commenting, but, trying to catch up.
