What a busy week!!!

And it continues on until Tuesday, but here are a few pictures of a pretty sunclipse and all the green green growth in the garden!!!

and a pictures of a lovely little sunlit meadow captured from a speeding auto on the way to Penticton

O the green things growing, the green things growing
the faint sweet smell of the green things growing
Dinah Craik

On the day of the Wedding I was enchanted by the trees in the Abbey
and the beautiful choral music, especially  Paul Mealor's Ubi Caritas.

the joy of the people in the streets

and the glorious promise of youth and marriage in the Bride and Groom

and the splendid Guards on their spirited horses

Well, it was all just an elegant day and made me proud of my British heritage and happy for London
and all  the people of the United Kingdom.

We need happy exuberant days occasionally to lift us to the mountain tops to sing
and laugh and be joyous and optimistic.

God Save the Queen and all her Loyal Subjects!

The Royal Wedding was an especially lovely event and I too was enchanted by the trees in the Abbey.

I loved the Wedding too and wish them all the very best. (Anglophile is I ;>)

Your sunclipse was beautiful! We're going to get that word widely accepted yet.

Don't work too hard during your busy work.

I too watched the Royal Wedding. I awoke at 3:30 a.m. Central Time, and enjoyed every minute of this holy event. I call it holy, as that is how it was conducted. In that beautiful Westminster Abbey, the beautiful couple, surrounded by friends, dignitaries and most of all by family who appeared most pleased by it all.

I think the telegraph blog said it well “The wedding will show Archbishop Rowan Williams at his pastoral best.” I was so touched by the passage the brother of the bride read, the prayer the wedding couple wrote was beautiful. I wondered if that is customary to the Anglican Marriage Liturgy? Listening to the choir singing the piece that had been commissioned for this event, was wonderful.

I am very happy that I woke up so early to experience the testament that in today’s often ugly conduct, cursing, and hateful world, I observed humanity at its very best and most sacred. All of Britain is honored by it.

I'm catching up with your posts, Hildred. You must be smiling with your garden looking so lovely in bloom. I was with my friends the night of the Royal Wedding, and we woke at 4AM to watch it together. Very beautiful!
