River Stone #29

Large, wet snowflakes,
and the Quail,
huddled in trios
beneath the sheltering sedum.

Poor quail I say. How can anyone eat these dear little creatures?

Oh my Weaver, we would never think of eating them, - just provide rations for the little troop that lives in the pruning pile!!!

I love to see Quail scurrying. Are you having snow again? Whew - can you believe we've actually nearly finished a month of writing small stones? It's been fun, but I might need a break!

I can see them, their eyes shining brightly, while the snow drifts down!

We used to get white crowned sparrows in our brush pile -- I would love to have quail in my yard.

I have gotten behind on my blog-reading after a week with the younger generations -- won't bore you with comments on your every post, but thank you for all of them -- each of them brings joy!
