A Lark in the Garden, with Pictures
"O the green things growing, the green things growing,
The faint sweet smell of the green things growing!
I should like to live, whether I smile or grieve,
Just to watch the happy life of my green things growing." - Dinah Maria Mulock Craik,

So beautiful!
Happy weekend to you.
How cheerful, Hildred - love that pink rose!
Beautiful picture and I loved the poem. Ms Craik appeared as a clue in a crossword puzzle the other day and I had planned to look her up as she was new to me. Now I really want to read more of her work.
Beautiful! Beautiful garden, Hildred!!!
Sallie, you inspired me to google Ms Craik too, and I was surprised at the results - there is an e-book available which I have downloaded.
John Halifax, Gentleman - and access to her poetry. Thank you for that!
Wonderful green gifts from you garden. You made my day!
