Just a little report on the state of Spring here in the Similkameen....
Here are the Pansies I brought home on Monday. They haven't lost their perkiness as they sit in the garage, waiting patiently to put their little roots down into the warming soil.
Warming soil, you say????
Here is the Valley this morning.....
Where have all the mountains gone????
And what is this imitation of a Christmas Eve Snowfall?
The morning's snow brought afternoon showers. Entirely welcome. Perhaps a little moisture will coax the rhubarb to make a tentative appearance.
Late in the afternoon the clouds lifted....
and tonight a little searching found a patch of friendly blue sky, - almost springlike.
Are we just being teased again??
Pictures taken with new camera - wonderful gift - and so much fun as I learn....

Looks like you got the same spam I got a few days ago. Just delete it...it happens sometimes - like unsolicited telemarketers!
Anyway, your scenes are so varied. What a change in weather you saw throughout the day. Nice...I hope spring and warm days come your way soon.
What an wonderful series of images!Thank you for shring!
I got this spam recently as well.
Reporting the spammer's blog is another excellent step to take.
New cameras are always great fun. Enjoy it!
wow i have never gotten spam yet!
interesting shots. my favorite is the 2nd to last.. shape shifting clouds.
I stumbled upon your blog today while in search of a picture "stack of books" :) you posted about the mounds of books you'd had in your home two years ago... and my curiosity led me to look more closely at your actual site. I'm very much impressed that you have a blog you keep up... I would love for my grandparents to do the same. The pictures you have posted are great! Thanks for sharing!
(pardon my blog in the event you choose to visit... I haven't been posting, so not much of interest there right now.) Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful photos. Nice variety and well done.
What changeable weather you have there - snow, gloom, sun and blue sky all in one day - I think it is often the cast in regions where there are mountains. Love the colour of the pansies - do hope that soil soon warms up enough to cheer them up.
I love apricot pansies and your mountain shots are just beautiful. I've been having weather about like yours only I won't be planting pansies anytime soon here in the CO Mts!
Thank you for your comments, - things remain the same here today, - but the weatherman is predicting blue skies and sunshine, and temperatures in the teens for tomorrow. WOW
but wait....
He ended his report by saying winds would be 50 km an hour in the Similkameen, - eek. Another indoor day....
Heather, - I enjoyed your postings, - more of them would be nice!
The second last shot is a beauty!
