Always a poignant day Hildred, particularly when one was married to an old serviceman.
A very special day, Hildred! There are not many left to tell about WW II. But we should remember those who died in the wars of the last age and this age too.

Beautiful photographs, Hildred. My father was in WWII, but never saw action because his skills in photography were used for reconnaissance photography mostly in London. He was up in the Shetlands for a while also.

This is a wonderful area where you live. We walked from Vancouver to Cranbrook, all the way by foot with our two kids. The time spend there was wonderful. We've been to Keremeeos!
