The letter is P, for Peaks

Here are the peaks of the Rocky Mountains as I flew Westjet across them, late this morning*

Come Fairies, take me out of this dull world
for I would ride with you upon the wind
and dance upon the mountains
like a flame!

William Butler Yeats

For more interesting takes on the letter P, go here to see what Mrs. Nesbitt and Roger Green
and all their perpetual helpers have to offer.

I was struck by the line of sliced peaks in the first photo, with the river below in its straight valley. I suppose there may have been a glacier there, once.

So glad you enjoyed the wedding!

The view from the air is just spectacular.
There are a lot of amazing snow covered peaks there.

I love pictures of the sky from a plane (and am always delighted to know other people do that...most other people I see when we fly seem so blase' about the whole thing....I would have known you to be one who would look and admire though!

Glad you got to take the trip and that it was a beautiful wedding!

Flying to San Diego from Albany, crossing the Rockies is the best part of the flight!

Mountain Peaks are always impressive and especially seen from high above them. That is what we miss here in the Netherlands.
Thanks for your comment. I agree with you that Halloween and Christmas are mainly important for commercial reasons.
Anyway I wish you a happy Halloween!

How stunning...you got to see God's peaks from his vantage point.

Lovely pictures. I will be flying to OR next week to see our newest grandchild...wonder what I'll see from the plane. Better have my camera ready.
