Monday morning, and a new week begins....There is a sharpness in the air, but the sky is blue, from one horizon to another, and there is a promise of sunshine, all day long........
In my heart I remember a dear friend whose loveliest gifts were her gentleness,
her kindness and her compassion.
And a beautiful capacity for friendship.

In loving memory

I am afraid Hildred that when we get to our age our friends go one by one and all we are left with are happy memories. Your friend looks so lovely in her cheerful colour.
You are getting spring temperatures sooner than we are in Omaha. Last year was so hot and dry it was unbelievable. Now we have cool to cold days and non-stop rain.
The heat last summer resulted in a bumper pear and concord grape crop and both were sweeter than I ever remembered them being.
It is so reassuring to look out on a green city even though the trees are slow to leaf out. Our peonies and iris are up at last but still very short.
To come to your 'daybyday' makes me so happy to find your beautiful photography, your daily activities and your sweet and thoughtful words. Thank you.
A lovely tribute to your dear friend. As will your playing at her service.
Oh, Sallie, - this friend died a year ago today. Saturday's funeral is for another, - as the Weaver says, at this age our friends go one by one, and we are left with only memories. But good ones!!!!!
Willo, so glad you are finally getting spring weather. Hope it continues warmer.
Your memory carries her forward. Gentleness is worth remembering.
