Sky Watch Friday

Some evenings the sun slips over the horizon quietly, turns his attention to the Pacific and nothing more is heard from him.

Other evenings he sends an ever changing glorious light show that lingers on and on, until finally dusk steals the colour from the clouds, and the lights go on in town and home.

In the midst of all this splendour the moon appears, - pale, ethereal, a light to guide the way to darkness and hurry the sun on his way.....

You seem to have box seats for the most spectacular sky on Earth! How beautiful. The moon is the grand finale.

Excellent shots. I love the idea of doing a timeline, I think I'm going to try that one night.

Have a great weekend.

Beautiful skies! =) The colours, light and shade in the first one are really warm and welcoming.

Exquisite - better than any film show isn't it? My kitchen window faces due West so I see the sunset every evening - sometimes it goes down without a murmur, at other times it plays a magnificent fanfare.

The lead up of changing pastel colours to the moon is a lovely series of images.

A superb evening light show, delightful to watch holding hands or just holding a glass with a little something.
