The hothouse Hellebore

brightens my window
and speaks to me of early spring.

Its cousin, in the garden
pulls the white blanket of snow
even closer....

Hi Hildred ! Such a lovely, regal flower! What is its cousin called?
You've really got a lot of snow! I envy you, for we have typically Dutch weather, that is strong wind and rain, a lot of rain!
Well it isis in any way better than the situation in France this weekend.
The world is upside down.
Have a quiet week Hildred,

Oh so beautiful -- this beauty -- along with your stack of good books (and your joy of life) will get you through the rest of winter in wonderful shape! (The Hellebore is much better than a garden catalog, which I remember depending on for color and dreams of Spring back when we had our Oregon house).

From your Header and your mention of snow, I'm thinking you're in deep winter there. Take Care, Hildred.
