ABC Wednesday

W is the letter for the week

Wisteria is the choice of flower

pictures taken in May, 2011 at the big house
below our hill garden

Wildly exotic and tenderly sumptuous, these flowers
grow on a vine that is so strong it will bend a steel
pergoda out of shape.

I planted a small new vine against the back garden fence
and hope to enjoy its beautiful blooms before
it takes the fence down!!!

For more Ws visit here at ABC Wednesday, with
thanks to all the wonderful ones who
maintain this great meme.

These are definitely beautiful and STRONG trees, I love to see the winding limbs climbing on trellises.

Wisteria - a beautiful plant Hildred.
Sometimes I see a lovely stone house round here which is absolutely covered with it in full bloom - exquisite. I think is rather slow growing though.

These flowers belong in a fairyland. They are so exquisite and refined!
Thanks Hildred for sharing them.

Wisteria speaks of romance and enchantment to me. They just seem to have that wee bit of fairyland clinging to them. Your photos are so beautiful! They make me want to sit in your garden.

As Reader Wil alluded they are such fairytale plants. Yours are lovely. Serendipity meant that I posted my Wisteria pics right next to you on the Linky list.

One of my favorite things about spring is all the Wisteria that blooms around town.

They're beautiful. I didn't know wisterias were that strong, but then we don't have wisterias where I live. It's nice to learn something new today. Thanks.

When I was a girl, my grandmother had wisteria growing over the patio in her back yard. It was magnificent!
