ABC Wednesday
April 12th, 2011

The letter this week is M

and M is for Music and Mozart, - his Piano Concerto No. 9, played by the marvelous musician,  Mitsuko Uchida with Jeffrey Tate conducting the Mozarteum in Saltzburg.

Jeffrey Tate suffers from a major disability; a spinal malformation resulting from congenital spina bifid and kypho-scoliosis.  My admiration for this man and his accomplishments is boundless,  and you can find more about his life and his achievements here in an article by David Blum at Classical Music.

.

For more interpretations of the letter M Move over here, to ABC Wednesday, with thanks to Mrs. Nesbitt and her kindly helpers.

Thank you for an absolutely enchanting interval of music! My daughter-in-law and I watched mesmerized by these great performers. Kristin, herself, is a symphony player in two different cities(violin), concertmaster of the local symphony, and full time teacher of string instruments.

Mozart is my favorite of all composers, especially his piano concertos.

That beautiful hall would, in itself, would make it worthwhile to watch this.

What a fantastic idea for M. Hildred you asked about a snug - oh and by the way Hartbeat is set in North Yorkshire where we live very close by! The snug is a small sitting room just off the kitchen. It is always warm and we use it mostly in winter. We also have a large lounge/dining room which we use for the rest of the time and family get togethers. I will be moving on to the lounge next - keep watching! lol!

Beautiful. In January this year the BBC Radio 3 had a celebration of Mozart by playing nothing else for 12 days, it was rather wonderful.
