ABC Wednesday

L is for Lily

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow;
they toil not, neither do they spin.
And yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory
was not arrayed like one of these.”
Matthew 26:28

Lilies from the garden that we LOVED and LOST and still remember with LASTING LOYALTY.

The Regal Lily, beside a sweet granddaughter, grew beneath our bedroom window, and its fragrance was rich and heavy and slumberous.

Stop over at ABC Wednesday here and see what other wonderful things L stands for.

Beautiful flowers! I have been adding more and more lilies to my garden, so much so that I'm digging up a new flowerbed just for them:) They really are such gorgeous flowers.

Thank you all for your kind comments, and I will tell the adorable little girl, who is now twenty and still a darling, of your comments.

I'm reminded of the movie Lilies of the Field with Sidney Poitier. The Scripture reminds that it is not our doing.
