A faint but very beautiful late evening rainbow last night.  I handed the camera to the expert and original owner, our son David, - come to visit.

During the night there was a heavy rain, but by six o'clock the garden was fresh and fragrant, full of pretty shadows and small drops of the night shower.  I went out to pick flowers for the Pentecost altar, and gathered some newly bloomed peonies and gorgeous iris.

Well, nobody else was up and the coffee had not quite finished perking
so I stayed out to take some pictures.

This afternoon, after a wee nap, I succumbed
to temptation and  all the lovely textures that have
come my way of late, mostly thanks to Kim Klassen who
taught me all I know!!!!

Hi Hildred, You have such beauties growing now. I like your different-colored Clematis and those Peonies are so delicate and frilly. I'm liking your textured photos very much! When I was on a PC, I used Photo Shop, but for the last year I've been on a Mac and use Apple's Aperture.

Hildred - those lovely photos of your garden are surpassed by that fantastic header. Is that the countryside where you live? If so it is absolutely wonderful.

Pat, the header picture is taken just out of Keremeos where Keremeos Creek is flooding the meadows in Olalla, - if this were a city the community of Olalla would be a suburb, - just a few miles from the centre of Keremeos. Everything is so green this year with the cool damp spring we have had, - the grasses and the gardens are loving it. It is a lovely valley.

Looking beautiful in your corner of the Northwest these days Hildred. We're heading back toward our particular corner!
