Similkameen Skies

A tender sunrise from long ago

Sunrise on the first of August

And at noon, as the smoke started to drift in from neighbouring wildfires.

Hi Hildred, Your garden looks beautiful in the sunrise photo and the roses earlier this week!
Napping is a perfectly acceptable way to spend a hot afternoon, it is done the world over!
We have been lucky so far this Summer , not too hot an big fores to speak of.
Have a wonderful week!

Lovely skies -- how far away are those fires though? Sometimes smoke makes beautiful skies == where we used to live in Oregon gras-seed farmers used to burn their fields in August -- horrible smoky skies in day, but lovely red evening skies. I think they've cut back on the burning (by recently passed state laws)

I hope that fire is soon controlled, Hildred. However, I never tire of those lovely Similkameen skies.

Awful tho to see the smoke! there are so many fires all over the globe now.
Do take care.
