Nobody will prune those roses quite like Charles did I suspect. The pussy willow is one of my favorites. This has been such a dry summer.Pennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14177627504060328999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31566611.post-26585852981318111682013-02-18T19:24:24.958-08:002013-02-18T19:24:24.958-08:00I loved reading of your harbingers of spring. The first buds and green leaves are so welcome.
I always wanted to grow hellebores, but had a notion that they are quite demanding as to soil and location. I suspect our zone 6 Kentucky climate would be too warm for them to thrive.
I also enjoyed your remarks about delphiniums, one of the standbys of my Vermont garden. They are for sale here in all the garden centers but must be treated as an annual. I'd like to try some of the New Millenium hybrids which are meant to be heat-tolerant. They are rather pricey things, so I must ponder on this!Morning's Minionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01912356455981434029noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31566611.post-77439983431405012962013-02-18T12:21:04.857-08:002013-02-18T12:21:04.857-08:00Oh Spring ...so good to know it's coming.
